Kamón | Bench

Design by Moni Beuchel

In the second year of her course at Konstfack, the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, Moni Beuchel was given the task of designing a piece of furniture for a selected furniture manufacturer. After careful consideration she designed a sofa to suit Karl Andersson & Söner. By chance, we got to see the model and contacted a pleasantly surprised Moni. After some adaptation, the result was Kamón (2001) sofa, easy chair and bench in different lengths.

The different lengths are 650, 1300, 1950 and 2600 mm and for tables randing in height from 720-740mm. Kamón Benhch is with seat cushions covered in fabric or leather with visible wood details. The filling is made from cold foam. The legs are made from solid oak, birch or ash, standard colors, standard stains on ash and white glazed oak or ash. As there is a space between the seats, it is easy to keep them free of crumbs, as they fall onto the floor instead. All parts of Kamón are perfect for staff areas, waiting rooms, lunch rooms, hotel and staff dining rooms, corridors, exhibition halls, lobbies, entrances etc.
