Karlsson & Björk are Mattias Karlsson (1979) and Erik Björk (1978). They have both a Bachelor of Science degree in furniture design from Carl Malmsten Furniture Studies at Linköping University. In addition Mattias also holds a Master of Fine Arts (Fine Arts) from the Royal Art Academy. Under the common name Karlsson & Björk, they have since 2009 carried out projects that include everything from product design and furnishings for their own exploration projects and public decoration. Their philosophy is that the mixture of different types of projects creates other properties they otherwise never would have received. 2017 they presented the folding table Study for Karl Andersson & Söner.
