Mattias Ståhlbom (1971) complemented his studies at Stockholm’s University College of Arts, Crafts and Design with theoretical subjects such as the history of art and ethnology at Stockholm University. Since graduating he has worked for highly reputed design companies and architectural practices in Stockholm and New York. Since 2005 he has combined responsibility for the architectural consultancy TAF Studio with his work as a freelance designer. Many of his works have been included in exhibitions, not only throughout Sweden in venues such as the Museum of Architecture in Stockholm, but also abroad, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Year 2007 introduced the coat stand Nest.
