Part

Design by Lars Pettersson & Morgan Rudberg

Part shelf (2019) owes its origins to an exercise in geometric sketching. The aim was to create decorative patterns by using just a few basic shapes and components to create a variety of expressions in shelving combinations for different uses and settings. The modular concept ensures that Part works just as well as a stand-alone unit as it does when covering an entire wall, or even a complete room.

Part is available as a right- and left-hand unit. It is available in solid oak or ash, in standard stains on ash and in white-glazed oak or ash. The shelf in standard colours is made of MDF. Part can be used as open shelving or complemented with a 30 mm high wooden ledge or a 180 mm glass front. The total depth of the shelf is 120 mm; the depth inside the wooden ledge or glass front is 100 mm. Part is anchored to the wall with screws.

Part is an ideal solution not only in rest areas and meeting areas in offices, but also in waiting rooms in hospitals, banks, etc. Part also blends well into domestic environments, as a discreetly designed complement to living room furnishings or a colourful focus of attention in children’s rooms and teenage dens. Part can be used to store and display books, magazines, decorative items, etc.
